Once you collect your baggage and pass through customs, you’ll see a covered area outside the baggage hall. On your right-hand side, there are outlets of Nepal’s popular mobile network providers: NCELL and NTC.
Requirements for Foreigners
To get a Nepal SIM card for tourists, you need:
A scan copy of passport
Passport size photo
Fill out a registration form (takes less than 5 minutes)
No printed photo? Don’t worry — the outlets provide urgent photo services on the spot. For Indian citizens, a voter card can be used instead of a passport.
Activate Your Nepal SIM Card
After purchasing, follow the instructions on the packaging to activate your SIM card in Kathmandu. Activation may take a few hours.
